Summer Camp
We are happy to announce that we are officially preparing for summer camp again this year! Summer camp is an excellent place for horse loving children to get a week full of boundless equine activities!
We offer
Children will not only get the opportunity to ride horses every day, but they will also learn horsemanship, horse care, grooming, tacking, untacking, bathing, horse colors, horse breeds, nutrition and feed, conformation, how to measure horses, and other fun things. Camp curriculum will be based on age and experience of campers. Any and all horse questions the kids have are encouraged by our knowledgeable instructors. Your child will not only get the opportunity to bond with one “Mane” horse, but will also get the opportunity to work with several types of horses.

Email or Text to reserve your space at Horse Camp. There will be 2 main instructors along with several volunteers. We will split into 2 groups for riding, so please let me know if your child would like to be grouped with a friend. We will have up to 8 campers each week. The cost is $500 for the week. Cash or Venmo is preferred. There is a $200 non refundable deposit to hold the spot on the week of your choice.
Camp is all about horses, we learn how to care for them, ride them, learn about health, nutrition, and anything that week of campers has questions about! We encourage all questions, and tailor each week of camp to do activities that most interest the campers. This keeps it interesting for us and for the passionate campers that come multiple weeks!
I am happy to schedule a meet and greet if you would like a tour of the horses and an in person breakdown of what camp usually entails.

Meet our Horses
Colonel
This handsome 28 year-old quarter horse has been an amazing horse his entire life. After being with me for 23 years and teaching lessons for the last 8 years he is finally being retired from riding. In his old age his sway back is getting too extreme for it to be fair to him to hold riders. That doesn't stop him from wanting to be a part of things! He will be thrilled to be loved on, brushed, lead, round penned, bathed, painted (hoof and/or body) and to continue to be a part of our program.
Some groups may get the opportunity to watch him get chiropractic work. He is also a great learning opportunity for the extra care an elderly horse needs to keep them fat and happy in their golden years.
Bailey
We’re excited to welcome a 25-year-old Quarter Horse gelding from Texas to the program. While he’s new to us, he’s no stranger to being ridden—or to a bit of playful shenanigans. Teagan, one of our longtime riders, has been working with him to prepare for summer camp, focusing on gradual conditioning to build muscle tone, reinforce good habits, and yes, enjoy a little extra mischief along the way. He’s also learning key skills we expect from all our horses, like lining up and waiting patiently to be mounted.
He has a soft spot for nose kisses and snuggles, and we’re thrilled to have him as part of the team.
Lavender
This 11 year-old Aztec mare is eye-catching beautiful with a people oriented personality. She loves to bond and spend time with people. She is curious and willing. Lavender has been leased and loved this past year by Rebecca who will be one of our instructors in summer camp! She is a favorite horse of many of our lesson students, Rebecca has been putting advanced rides on her most days out of the week! She is flexible, willing and patient. She is always happy to come out and work. Because she is grey she often gets her mane and tail dyed fun colors such as purple, pink, or teal.
Lavender is a joy to ride, do any ground work, or just to be near.
Luna
This 8 year-old Arab Andalusian cross (Hispano-Árabe) is full of personality. She is curious about everything and wants to be a part of anything and everything that goes on. She is sweet, with a benign mischievous streak that causes endless entertainment. She knows all kinds of tricks that she loves to share with people. She has been in training her entire life and is extremely well behaved. Her skills include; long lining, laying down on command, rearing on command, drinking out of a bottle, zipping up jackets, picking up hats and whips, dancing (beginnings of the piaffe), liberty work, leading/positioning, and taking being bossed around by a toddler in stride.
Derby
Derby is a friendly, goofy, and easy-going 11 year-old Gypsy Vanner. He is a gorgeous silver dapple with a flaxen mane and tail. The only thing he likes more than playing with his friends is eating. In addition to being a fantastic riding horse, he helps teach the kids about how to care for a horse with feathers and a lot of hair.
Robbie
Robbie is a 14 year-old paint horse. His nickname is Sir Robinton the Brave. He enjoys spending time with people, and other horses. He is a forgiving, fun, and simple ride. If you find the good spots to scratch on him, he will tell you by wiggling his upper lip in enjoyment.
